The Venue

Escalate Live 2010 will be at the historic Lido Theater in the heart of Newport Beach, CA. The Lido Theater has been a local favorite for over 70 years, when it opened  with nearby resident’s Bette Davis’ “Jezebel” in 1938. Today, it is home to classic films, surf movies in the summer, the Newport Film Festival, and live events. Newport Beach is a city unique with laid back SoCal culture, charm, beautiful beaches and a rich history.

Temperatures in May are frequently in the mid to low 70s in the daytime and can drop to the 60s at night. Dress for the event is casual.

Event Parking

Limited free parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the theater (see map below).

Additional options:

• There is a paid parking garage across the street from the theater for overflow parking (see map).
• There is residential parking across the street from Newport Boulevard – please check signs for street sweeping.
• Please do not park in the grocery store lot or in other vacant lots – these are monitored and we don’t want you to get a ticket!

Dining

• Starbuck’s Coffee – Coffee, pastries, and light snacks.
• Woody’s Diner – Traditional diner serving breakfast day-long, lunch, and dinner.
• Z Pizza – Quick counter-order pizza by the slice or whole pizza.
• Regatta Cafe – Finer dining.
• Pavillion’s (Grocery Store) – There is a deli for quick sandwiches and salads.
